Wine & Spirit Magazine’s August 2011 issue awards Hermann J. Wiemer 2009 Rieslings with outstanding new scores: 94 points for the 2009 Late Harvest Riesling, 94 points for the 2009 Dry Riesling Reserve and 93 points for the 2009 Dry ‘Magdalena Vineyard’ Riesling. They also highly praised  the 2009 Dry ‘HJW Vineyard’ Riesling with a score of 92 points as well as the Dry Riesling, which got rated 92 points.

The magazine states: “Lean and beautifully composed, with a thrilling back note of minerality, this stylish dry riesling leads with the scent of fresh-picked golden apples and a hint of brown sugar.”
