Phantom Ales recently published a guide to low-intervention cider and wine in the Finger Lakes, covering eight producers across Seneca, Cayuga, and Keuka. It argues that wild ferment didn’t arrive here as a rebellion – the practice came first, and the vocabulary came later.
The guide also makes the case for our region’s leaner wines, hybrids, and cider as a peer to wine rather than a side stop. We’re glad to be included, and happy to see so many of our neighbors and friends on the list!
