Fall 2024 New Releases

Nov 12, 2024 | Featured, New Releases

Whether you want an earthy red to spice up the evening or a bright white to savor with seasonal dishes, we have two new highly anticipated Hermann J. Wiemer releases to match the cozy days ahead.

Blaufränkisch 2023

Like a young talent finding its voice, our Blaufränkisch vines are now starting to offer true expressions of the variety. Agriculturally, Blaufränkisch enjoys growing up here in the Finger Lakes and offers a compelling contrast to many of our other red wines. With alluring aromas of dark cherry and a hint of wild herbs, the structured tannins and lively backbone create a dynamic mouthfeel. Known for its versatile and food-friendly profile, Blaufränkisch wines pair beautifully with charcuterie boards or dishes with earthy spice. Did someone say mushroom risotto?

Chardonnay 2023

This wine is a charming dance of elegance and restraint. Vibrant fruit flavors of crisp green apple and ripe pear take center stage while a touch of oak-aging adds depth, without being overwhelming. To achieve this, we created a blend incorporating stainless steel and barrel fermentation, which ages about 20% of the overall blend in 500L Hungarian oak barrels. The result is a wine with an invigorating balance. Bright and refreshing with a smooth finish, this wine is versatile and will be the perfect partner for a creamy fall pasta dish. Enjoy!
