WINE SPECTATOR

Feb 15, 2011 | News & Noteworthy, Wiemer Archives

Wine Spectator Magazine keeps praising Hermann J. Wiemer with outstanding scores: 92 points for the Dry Riesling HJW Vineyard 2009, 91 points for the Dry Riesling Magdalena Vineyard 2009 and a 90 point rating for the Dry Riesling Reserve 2009. The magazine also states: “Leading the way […] are the bottlings from Hermann J. Wiemer..” and  “..Winemaker Fred Merwarth continues to set the bar for the region as a whole. The HJW Vineyard in particular is a rapier, with great precision and balance that should reward cellaring.”
