Open Doors: The Waking Vineyard – Spring at HJW

Though the vines are still sleeping, work in the vineyards is beginning to pick up as the soil awakens from its winter hibernation. Join us for a tour of our HJW vineyard to learn about all things spring at the only Demeter-certified Biodynamic vineyard and winery on the East Coast. We’ll discuss many of our springtime farming considerations, including soil health, cover crops, and water management. You’ll also see the very last of this winter’s vine pruning and learn why it’s a crucial step in our vineyard management as we prepare for the coming growing season.
