In a year where good news hasn’t been the easiest to come by, we are honored to share that Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard has been selected as one of the Wine & Spirits Magazine Top 100 Wineries of 2020! This news comes during the hustle and bustle of the harvest season, and we plan to take a moment to reflect with and congratulate our hardworking team here at the winery. This is the 10th time that we have received this accolade.

“Our exclusive blind tasting process revealed this diverse collection of producers from around the globe and we honor them for their outstanding wines.”- Wine & Spirits Magazine

This year, we will be joining the other Top 100 for a virtual tasting event marking the 17th Annual Top 100 tasting between October 14th-23rd. “Each 30-minute session will feature two Top 100 winemakers, inviting attendees to taste along with them as they discuss their top-scoring wines with Wine & Spirits editors and guest sommeliers,” writes the magazine. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting opportunity and how to participate.

Our top-scoring wines include the 2016 Noble Select Riesling Josef Vineyard (94 points), 2018 Riesling Magdalena Vineyard (93 points), and the 2018 Riesling Reserve Dry (92 points). These are among 9 Wiemer wines that scored over 90 points.
