The Summer Solstice at Hermann J. Wiemer

Jun 11, 2025 | Events, Featured

There’s a running joke in the Finger Lakes: we get six months of winter, three months of something that might be spring, two months of fall, and one month of summer. While that may be a bit of an exaggeration, it’s all the more reason we’re excited to celebrate the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, and we’d love for you to join us.

As Biodynamic farmers, the solstice marks a meaningful transition: the shift from the Earth’s long exhalation (which begins at the winter solstice) to its inhalation (which continues until the next winter solstice). It’s a time to pause, and in our case, to celebrate.

Join us for an afternoon at the estate featuring farm tours, a walk around Barrel Tasting, live music and lawn games. Throughout the afternoon we will have wine by the glass and bottle available and True Roots Food Truck will be onsite for part of the afternoon as well.

Summer Solstice Barrel Tasting Tickets

Without a ticket you’re welcome to come, order from the food truck and simply get a glass, sit and enjoy the afternoon!
