Open Doors: Harvest Tour

Fall is harvest season here in the Finger Lakes where grapes are being picked, sorted, processed and started on their journey into wine. Join us for a guided tour of our winery in action during this busy and exciting time of year.

Throughout the season the nature of each tour will be unique as you’ll get to see firsthand what goes into making some of your favorite Hermann J. Wiemer and Standing Stone wines as. We’ll tour the press pad to see our latest harvest then venture into the winery to talk fermentation, vessels, winemaking and more.

We might sample a little wine along the way but will conclude with a small tasting of a few more wines to help connect what you’ve seen in the winery to a finished wine. If you’d like to do a more expansive tasting, we highly recommend making a separate reservation for a seated, educational tasting at 1:30pm to finish before the tour begins.

*The is a medium length walking tour that may traverse dirt roads, wet conditions and uneven surfaces.
*Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.
*Animals are not permitted in the production facility so please leave any furry friends at home.
