Gewürztraminer at Standing Stone Vineyards Event

All Things Gewürztraminer on April 20th at Standing Stone!

Join us for an in-depth look at our Gewürztraminer production at Standing Stone Vineyards and Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard. Fred Merwarth and our winemaking team will lead a tasting and comparison of current and library vintages observing the evolution of style and the many intricacies of this cool-climate, aromatic varietal. With plantings that range in age from 15 to over 57 years old and are located on both the east and west sides of Seneca Lake, Gewürztraminer is an integral part of our portfolio of wines and is one of the most exciting varieties that we work with. We have partnered with our friends at local restaurant, Hazelnut Kitchen, who have designed a delicious menu that marries the flavors of Alsace (the French region that borders Germany and is home to over a quarter of the world's Gewürztraminer plantings) with local ingredients and flair. A delicious way to start off a spring day in the Finger Lakes! The event will run from 10:30 -12 pm and will be hosted in our Standing Stone Vineyard Tasting Room. $65/ Kabinett/Cru member Space is limited & reservations are required. For tickets, use the link below or call the winery Monday - Friday at (607)243-7971 and ask for Jen, Alex, or Theresa.
