Blanc de Noir

With an emphasis on craftsmanship, Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard produces distinctive sparkling wines in the traditional method. Extended lees contact builds weight and texture on the palate. A focus on early ripeness underpins subtle fruit notes with vibrant structure. This is our first release of a Blanc de Noir since the 2013 vintage! The Pinot Noir fruit selected for this wine was picked on September 5th, 2016. It happened to be Labor Day and was a gorgeous late summer's morning. This selection kicked off the start to what would be the quite glorious 2016 vintage. One of the many wonderful things about sparkling wine is the long "time horizons" and the memories that come flooding back with new bubbly releases. Sourced entirely from our Magdalena Vineyard, this wine was en tirage for 41 months and disgorged in February. It captures a wonderful snapshot of freshness and balance with delicate bubbles, notes of white raspberry on the palate and aromas of cherry blossom, fig, and creme brulee. This is a limited disgorgement.
